On January 1, 2003, Story Realty was born. Located at 13 Crooked
Street, the new office was polished, scrubbed and redecorated.
John Matejov helped hang the new sign and a new business was born.

Still in January, a semi-scary event occurred. As I looked up from
my desk I saw the above sight. Quite a fire was raging...but, not
to fear. It was the Story Firemen burning the leaves and pine
needles that the community gathered the previous summer and fall.

Also, in January...check out the clothing - it REALLY was January - work
began on tearing down the Story Woman's Club chimney in order to replace
it with a more stable one.

The job took a good number of days, but it was finally reduced to a fine
pile of rubble, which was sorted through so the original 1931 era rocks
could be used in the new chimney.
