L. Dennis Irvin & Sherri W. Hickman
Story Realty Owners

L. Dennis Irvin  has been in the real estate business in Sheridan County since 1994. As an agent for Balkenbush Real Estate he operated the Story Branch office of Balkenbush Real Estate.  Sherri joined him as a sales agent there in 1995.

Denny has a BS in Education, a Master of Science degree in Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  For 23 years he taught history and economics in the Indiana, Pennsylvania Public School System before coming to Wyoming.

Denny got his Brokers License in 1997.  In 2003 he and Sherri started their own company - Story Realty - when their previous broker retired.  Their new office is at 13 Crooked Street in Story while the old building followed them up the street and is now the Story Museum building at the Story Woman's Club.

Sherri came to Wyoming after teaching art education in the Armstrong School District in Kittanning, Pennsylvania for 19 years.  She holds a BS degree in Education and a Masters of Art Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Sherri  has been in real estate since 1995 and got her Brokers License in 2003.

It is the goal of Story Real Estate to provide professional real estate services to both sellers and buyers.  As members of the Sheridan County Board of Realtors, Wyoming Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors their emphasis is on upholding the highest standards of the profession when dealing with the transactions of clients and customers.  As Responsible Broker, Denny strives to make the sale or purchase of property as comfortable as possible.

You might wonder how a left-brained history teacher and a right-brained art teacher can co-exist in a business together.  Denny is a very detail oriented personality, an excellent negotiator and a strong leader.  Sherri is computer literate & uses her art background for the advertising and web design end of the business.  They compliment each other nicely.

Sherri & Denny share five sons, five daughters-in-law, five grandsons, two dogs and two cats. All but the cats and dogs are still back east.

They are both still very much fascinated by Story and the people who live here.  Living anywhere else is out of the question.  Just ask - they can expound for hours with Story stories!!
