Fish Hatchery Borrow Pit

When the storm was over they found that Fish Hatchery Road looked like this.

"Our property wasn't as deep in most places as the motel.  I guess it depends of the direction of the wind and how your house sits on the property.  Our roof was fairly clean of snow.  One tree fell and we lost power, phone and cable Wednesday afternoon so we went down to the motel.  Then the second tree fell.  If we hadn't left when we did we wouldn't have been able to get out after the second one fell.  We were at the motel until Sunday night. The inside of our house was fairly warm because we have a little gas stove.  The blower didn't work, but the fire kept our house at about 62 degrees.  We are still recovering because the surge from the power being yanked out of our house took out the microwave and both garage door openers.  Our cable comes and goes because they just did a temporary fix and the cable is blowing in the wind.  We have a lot of tree removal to do.  We saved our more spendy items from the freezer by putting them in the neighbor's freezer, but we lost most everything in our fridge.  Do you think eggs are still good when they go from cool to warm to cool again?  Anyway we were luckier then a lot of others in town."

Welcome to Life on the Big Horns, Fremstads.  You survived the Blizzard of '07 which surpasses the Blizzard of '84!  You're doing fine!
