STORY IS NESTLED IN THE PINES BELOW THE MOUNTAINS

We sure appreciate all of you who've dropped by Story to check out this Wyoming mountain hamlet for yourselves. There have been so many questions we thought we'd share some answers with you.

Story is an unincorporated entity. So while we'd like to call it a town or a burg or a ville - it isn't. No mayor, no council, no public works.

BUT, we do have two paved state roads (which both dead-end on the face of the mountain) and three county roads. "So what?" you say? Well, in this large cul-de-sac called Story, these roads are maintained summer and winter, allowing us to get in and out except in blizzard conditions. (And any Wyomingite is smart enough to WANT to stay home then!)

All residences are on private well and septic systems. But, just so you don't expect the worst, we have electrical power, 40 channel cable TV and telephone service that supports the many telecommuters who live here. All the modern conveniences are available.
